Yes/no questions and question words
A yes/no question starts with the finite verb: Wohnst du hier? In a wh-question the verb follows the question word: Wo wohnst du? Use wer for a person, was for a thing or activity, wo for a location and wie for manner or how someone is. Subject wer takes a singular verb: Wer kommt?
